When the Valley of Gauldalier was founded the Shadraca Tribe had changed enough that a new way of ruling was established. The concept of a monarchy came from the Vashnara Tribe as they were a people that were ruled over by a single King and all lands were his, but he assigned lands to those who proved worthy of such a gift. Hence the Noble Houses of Gauldalier were born.
The Shadraca family became the Royal line, Brogan Shadraca being the very first of Kings. His wife, Zara, was from the Raesh family and so Brogan elevated them to noble status. His son Broc married Laruna Daelorn and that family was raised as well and became House Daelorn. In more modern times there are not so very many instances of nobles marrying outside of the already noble houses and less so that the family marrying into the noble house getting raised as well. Only the single person marrying the noble is then considered noble as are their children.
There are a handful of tiers within the noble hierarchy.
- King, Queen
- Prince, Princess
- Duke, Duchess
- Count, Countess
- Baron, Baroness
- Lords, Ladies,
- Knights, Dames
Outside of Gauldalier the people still have a tribal system. Each tribe has a chief figure. If and when the Chief or their family comes into the Kingdom they are considered and treated as nobles.

Despite facing numerous setbacks and rejections, he refused to give up on his dreams and eventually caught the attention of a wealthy patron who provided him with the resources to establish his own noble house. Over the generations, these pearl beds have been the Valley's only source of Fresh Water Pearls. In fact, it's the only known source in the world. The Voraba's are usually all pearl divers and merchants as no one outside of the family is allowed in the area of the farms. Thus far every trespasser hasn't lived through the transgression.
